Alberta Lake Management Society
The Alberta Lake Management Society (ALMS) runs a water quality monitoring program called LakeWatch and regularly monitors Alberta’s lake on a rotating schedule. For more information about the LakeWatch program, visit their webpage: www.alms.ca.

Respect our Lakes Program
Respect our Lakes (ROL) is an education program of Alberta Environment and Parks that aims to raise awareness and build understanding about lake and lakeshore regulations, science and management including promotion of what Albertans can do to foster healthy lake living. ROL acts as an “umbrella” for information and resources available to Albertans regarding our lakes. ROL is working to increase respect for our lakes.

Central Alberta Recreational Lakes Initiative
The BLMT participates in the Central Alberta Recreational Lakes (CARL) initiative, led by Alberta Environment and Parks. CARL brings lake stewardship groups together for information and resource sharing, and collaboration for the benefit and sustainability of Alberta’s recreational lakes. AEP hosts a forum every Spring and anyone interested and involved in lake stewardship is welcome to attend!
